Boston Landmarks Commission designates city’s first five landmarks.

They are Boston Common, the Public Garden, the First Corps Cadet Armory, the Donald McKay House at 80 White Street in East Boston, and the Adams Nervine Asylum at 990 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain.
